I liked the way that Bruno Sammartino, picked up Haystacks Calhoun, above his head in weightlifting press position, and slammed him onto the mat. Classic stuff, from the then, World’s Strongest Man. Sammartino, of Bari, Italia, grew up working in his grandfather’s quarry and carried sones for the old man. He became strong. Later on, Bruno’s son Joseph (Giuseppe? ), became a Medical Doctor.
From, Bari, Italy, to New Jersey, a success story. Fight promoters did not want Sammartino to lose his temper because he could severely hurt other fighters. Now that’s, Italian.
